The order of a single-family home in a residential neighborhood, with high demands for privacy, for a family with two children is the starting point of this project.
The plot on which it is located, close to 1,000.00 m2, is inserted in a consolidated urban fabric and surrounded by houses in its three party walls. As always, the regulatory limitations, and the orientation of the main facade “helped” define the footprint of the house on the plot.
The house is planned on two floors above ground level to accommodate the program clearly proposed by the client, and a basement floor to house the garage and facilities, without losing the useful outdoor garden area. Three longitudinal volumes that give the house a fragmented image, each housing a part of the program.
At street level, the kitchen and the living room literally open onto the garden thanks to the minimal profile aluminum frames that disappear and hide inside the walls, thus blurring the boundary between interior and exterior. A large double height porch finished with TECNOCEMENTO covers the living room terrace and enhances the fractional image of the project. Carpentries that allow large lights almost without frames, that transfer the discourse from the interior to the exterior protected by horizontal aluminum elements that nuance the entry of the setting sun and at the same time protect from the gaze of the nearest environment.
The staircase, a light piece of concrete that joins the three floors and whose protection of wooden profiles makes it a central sculpture element. A cladding worked with a CNC cutting machine that encloses the central volume, nuances the entrance of light to the ground and first floor distributors, projecting light beams to the interior and at the same time protecting the exterior.
On the upper floor there are three rooms, each one is oriented to a different facade and integrates a private bathroom, the first room maintains a private and unfolding terrace.
In total, approximately 590.00 m2 of constructed area contemplate this house from Elche.
