Gastrónoma closes with an excellent balance and conquers Valencia by the hand of great chefs and the best trends and novelties in gastronomy and restoration.
In total, more than 20,000 professionals from all over Spain have visited the most important gastronomic fair in the Mediterranean, which has celebrated its third day with the presentations of José Andrés, Quique Dacosta, Joan Roca and Ángel León, among others.
Valencia, November 12, 2019.- Gastrónoma closes its fifth edition with excellent results and with total success.More than 20,000 people from all over Spain have visited since last Sunday the most important fair in the Mediterranean and have attended one of the many papers proposed by the contest in 13 spaces.
For three days, visitors have filled the more than 13,000 square meters of Gastrónoma in search of trends, news and much free and quality content, which they have attended, gastronomy professionals, students in training and also gourmet public.
Specifically, today the congressional part of Gastrónoma has hung the entire poster during the presentation of chefs Quique Dacosta, Joan Roca and Ángel León. These three giants of gastronomy have offered their interpretations of the prawn. With the previous intervention of the UNED biologist Miguel Ángel Civera, Joan Roca, from the Celler de Can Roca, has grilled and boiled the Palamós shrimp. Ángel León, from Aponiente, has made some white prawns from Cádiz with salt, and Quique Dacosta has honored the nougat and the almond trees in bloom in Alicante with the red prawn of Dénia.
Likewise, the Central-L’Espai Exquisit Kitchen has gathered hundreds of people during the presentation of José Andrés, one of the most anticipated chefs of this edition of Gastrónoma. In it, he has presented Minibar, his new project, and insisted that professionals open their minds, without fear of trying and innovating as he has done with lyophilization.
And it is that the presentations in all spaces of Gastrónoma have been a success. An example is the Aula Arroz de Valencia DO, in which Cristina Figueira, from the El Xato restaurant (1 Michelin star and 1 Repsol sun) has participated, in a presentation in which she has claimed rice as an identity symbol, or Miguel’s Ángel Mayor, from the Sucede restaurant (1 Michelin star and 1 Repsol sun), who has shown his version of some rice dishes with history.
Be Sweet has also filled her classroom with the showcookings of Joanna Artieda, Pachi Larrea and Libertad Santiago. For its part, in the scenario of #pandeverdad, the presentation of Xavi Barriga has conquered the public with his hand-drawn bread from Vienna.
Gastrónoma has finished the afternoon with the delivery of the Espai Gastronòmic - Gastrónoma awards, which are granted to tourism initiatives related to gastronomy and that recognize three projects, one for each province of the Region, that work for the tourist revitalization of the territory. The winners have been the Provincial Tourism Council of Castellón for its Ruta de Sabor project, in which they value the products of the land; the Association of entrepreneurs of the Vega Baja, which after the last floods are working to recover the area as soon as possible and generate tourist destination again; and the Association of entrepreneurs of the Navy of Valencia, for all the work they are doing in creating destiny in a space such as the Navy and living facing the sea.
In this way, Gastrónoma puts an end to this edition that has conquered professionals and the public and hopes to continue growing and consolidating itself as the best and most important gastronomic fair in the Mediterranean.
